Bac Giang’s 10-month FDI attraction over 5 times higher than 2022 same period

BAC GIANG - In the first 10 months of 2023, Bac Giang province attracted 81 foreign direct investment (FDI) projects with a total registered capital of more than 1.5 billion USD, 5.2 times higher than the same period last year, according to the provincial People’s Committee.

Prominent among these projects is a precision technology factory project invested by Fulian Ingrasys (Singapore) Pte. Ltd and operated by Fulian Co., Ltd. in the Quang Chau Industrial Park, Viet Yen district.

The project is implemented on an area of nearly 50 hectares to produce electronic components, computers and communication equipment. The second project is invested by China’s Hainan Longi Green Energy Technology Co. Ltd. to manufacture solar panels with a capacity 3,500 MW per year in the Hoa Phu Industrial Park, Hiep Hoa district. The total registered capital of the two projects is about 761 million USD.

Bac Giang province also nodded adjustments to 36 foreign investment projects with a total additional capital of nearly 400 million USD. Typically, JA Solar Vietnam Co., Ltd. added 378 million USD to expand the production of solar battery components and products with an annual output of 2.5 GW of silicon bars, 5 GW of silicon wafers, 5 GW of photovoltaic cells. The project is implemented on an area of more than 219,400 square meters in the Viet Han Industrial Park, Viet Yen district.

In the first 10 months of this year, Bac Giang province attracted 2.2 billion USD in total investment, double the figure in the same period last year, including 29 new domestic direct investment (DDI) projects with registered capital of 5.59 trillion VND (229.3 million USD), 1.14 times higher than the 2022 same period. As many as 27 domestic projects were adjusted with additional registered capital of 1.8 trillion VND, 7.3 times higher.
