(BGO) – As of 2021, 12 out of 39 craft
villages in Bac Giang province have the Recognition certificates of craft
village revoked due to many reasons. Now, only few villages are effectively operating.
To preserve and promote the craft villages so as to ensure income for people,
it is necessary to have Government support in land, capital and market among
others.
Every year when the Mid-Autumn festival is just around the corner, the family of Tran Van Ban in Thuong Cung Village, Thuong Tin, Hanoi, is busy making moon cake moulds.
Hanoi will host a festival of craft villages and streets at the Imperial Citadel of Thang Long from October 13 – 16, aiming to promote and preserve local traditional handicrafts, according to Vice Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Nguyen Manh Quyen.
Eight Vietnamese handicraft exporters are introducing their products at the NY Now exhibition that is underway in New York, the US with the participation of about 950 businesses from 35 countries.

promoted among foreign visitors when the province is going to host badminton
competition at the 31st Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games 31) for the
first time.
