Bac Giang province is implementing 5 key projects with a total investment of more than 4.53 trillion VND (195.5 million USD) from public investment capital. The Provincial Management Board of Traffic and Agricultural construction and investment projects act as investor of three projects, including project to build road connecting National Highway 37-17-Vo Nhai (Thai Nguyen); project to build Ha Bac 2 bridge and its paths connecting branch 2 of Ring Road IV with Yen Phong Industrial Park and National Highway 18 in Bac Ninh province; project to build Dong Viet bridge and its paths (Yen Dung).

The remaining 2 key projects are invested by the Provincial Management Board of Civil and Industrial Investment and Construction Project, including project to construct a new inter-agency headquarters building of the province and project to build the Provincial Cultural - Exhibition Center (2 projects are executed in Bac Giang city).

According to investors, thanks to adequate funding, human resources and overtime working, the province's key projects are on schedule. Three key transport projects have been basically completed.

In recent days, despite the continuous hot weather and heavy rain, at the construction site of the province's new inter-agency headquarters building, there are still more than 350 workers and 25 engineers working 3 shifts continuously.

The project started in June 2023. To date, the winning construction contractor, Consortium Ha Do 23 Joint Stock Company, has completed pouring concrete beams and floors on the 22nd floor, nearly 1 month ahead of schedule. Workers work in 3 shifts continuously to ensure the construction progress and handover of the project in April 2025 as planned.

At the construction site of the Provincial Cultural - Exhibition Center, Le Van Toan, representative of the joint venture contractor, said that the project has a total floor area of ​​over 13,200 square meters and the construction started in December 2022. The total construction volume reached more than 70% of the plan.

To ensure the construction progress and disbursement of capital for construction of basic construction works in general, in early August, the Department of Planning and Investment issued a document requesting departments, sectors and units under the Provincial People's Committee, People's Committees of districts, township and city to further urge and accelerate the implementation and disbursement progress; propose adjustments to the public investment capital plan for 2024.

Luong Van Nghiep, Deputy Director of the Department of Planning and Investment, said the new feature is that the Department has proposed to review and register capital adjustment 1 month earlier than previous years so that the Department can advise the Provincial People's Committee to soon submit to the Provincial People's Council for approval of projects that need capital adjustment or transfer capital to other projects with better disbursement capacity.

This year, the amount of capital for basic construction is large so the Department of Planning and Investment also required some projects with fast implementation progress to receive additional capital to ensure the province's general disbursement plan.

Director of the Provincial Management Board of Civil and Industrial Investment and Construction Project Nguyen Van Do shared that the key projects in charged by the Board are all constructed as the achievements to welcome the 20th Provincial Party Congress.

After completion, they will contribute to creating a modern appearance for Bac Giang City, meeting the requirements of administrative reform of the province as well as provincial-level cultural facilities and institutions and the increasing demand for cultural and spiritual enjoyment of the locals.

Therefore, from now until the end of the year, the Board will continue to urge contractors to closely follow the progress, ensure the quality of the works while timely coordinate with contractors to quickly resolve problems, accept the works and immediately disburse capital to ensure the project's progress.
