Bac Giang strives to successfully realize goals and tasks, laying foundation for comprehensive, sustainable development
BAC GIANG – In 2024, Bac Giang, like the rest of the country, faced numerous challenges and unprecedented issues.
However, thanks to the solidarity, determination, proactivity, and flexibility in leadership and management from the local Party committees and authorities at all levels, as well as the resolute efforts of the entire political system and the strong support of the people and business community, Bac Giang has successfully overcome these challenges and achieved remarkable and comprehensive results across all sectors.

2025 holds special significance as a year with both opportunities and challenges. Looking ahead, I would like to emphasize several key areas that require particular attention to ensure effective implementation:
Firstly, it is necessary to continue to identify and remove obstacles to development. We must seriously implement Resolution No. 381-NQ/TU issued on December 6, 2024 by the provincial Party Committee on leadership tasks for 2025, along with the main targets, tasks, and solutions in the Resolution on socio-economic development tasks for 2025 by the provincial People's Council.
Special focus should be placed on reviewing and promptly amending and supplementing regulations, mechanisms, and policies that are no longer suitable. Additionally, it is necessary to issue new mechanisms and policies that will drive development.
Secondly, we must optimize the remaining time in late 2024 and the first quarter of 2025 to complete the review of the implementation of Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW of the 12th Party Central Committee.
At the same time, Bac Giang needs to streamline the political system to ensure it is lean, strong, effective, and efficient. This process must be carried out closely, seriously and objectively.
Thirdly, the province should focus heavily on the key task of economic development, maintaining an economic growth rate of 13.6% (with a target of 14-15%), and total budget revenue exceeding VND18 trillion (709 million USD).
Industry should remain the backbone of the economy, serving as the main driver for growth, economic restructuring, and the development of other sectors.
It is essential to continue pursuing industrial development with a focus on creating a sustainable industrial ecosystem.
We must strengthen the agricultural sector, concentrating on large-scale commodity production, high-tech application, and production under value chains; and attract large businesses to invest in the production and processing of agricultural products.
Efforts should also be made to mobilize and use resources effectively to build and develop newly formed urban areas post-administrative restructuring.
The province needs to invest in the development of new-style, advanced new-style and model rural areas, mobilize resources to accelerate major and key provincial projects, and increase efforts to attract projects that enhance service sectors, such as commercial services in urban areas and industrial parks, transportation and logistics services.
Fourthly, we must continue pushing forward with administrative reform, improving the investment and business environment, and enhancing the province's competitiveness. We are determined to create changes and maintain Bac Giang’s ranking on the Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI).

Fifthly, it is necessary to promote digital transformation, continue to build e-government and digital government, and interconnected, synchronized data systems that make it easier for people to conduct administrative procedures and access public services.
Sixthly, Bac Giang should pay attention to implementing social welfare policies, particularly for those who have rendered service to the nation, ensuring that all people benefit from the fruits of development.
Seventhly, the province must intensify the fight against all forms of crime, and maintain political security and social order and safety.
Eighthly, we need to focus on preparing qualified human resources for the 16th National Assembly and the People's Councils and People's Committees at all levels for the 2026-2031 term, ensuring that candidates meet the necessary standards of competence, quality, and reputation to fulfill their roles effectively.
