Art troop in Bac Giang province performs Quan ho folk song in Japan

(BGO) – The Vietnam Embassy in Japan coordinated with the Cultural Diplomacy and UNESCO Affairs Department, non-governmental organization World Heritage Institute of Japan to organize “Vietnam Culture and Tourism Seminar" in Tokyo.

It was among the activities to promote the beauty of the country, human, potential, advantages, culture and art of Vietnamese localities to Japanese prestigious travel agencies.

The event also was a good chance for the localities with heritage recognized by UNESCO to link to Japanese enterprises that paid due attention to Vietnamese market.

At the conference, the delegates and guests enjoyed Quan ho folk songs – an intangible cultural heritage of Vietnam recognize by UNESCO – performed by two artists Quang Lam and Quynh Mai in the art troop of Bac Giang province.

Seminar participants enjoy several Quan ho melodies performed by Bac Giang artists.

Besides, the art troop performed several melodies of Quan ho, Cheo (traditional theater), Ca tru (ceremonial singing) and Chau van (Spiritual singing) at Nisshin Kutsu pagoda, drawing numerous visitors, especially Vietnamese students living and studying in Tokyo.

Bac Giang to celebrate 10th anniversary of UNESCO recognition of Quan ho and Ca tru singing
(BGO) – On August 22, Vice Chairman of the Bac Giang provincial People’s Committee Le Anh Duong, Head of the Organization Board for the 10th anniversary of UNESCO recognition of Quan ho (love duet singing) and Ca tru (ceremonial singing) as the intangible culture heritage of humanity as well as the second ceremony to bestow title of People’s Artist and Meritorious artist in the field of intangible cultural heritage in 2019 chaired a meeting to finalize the instruction and implementation.
Bac Giang mobilizes resources to preserve, expand cultural atmosphere of Quan Ho and Ca Tru
(BGO)- The Department of Culture, Sport and Tourism (DCST) of Bac Giang province held a conference on 20 August themed “Preserving and promoting Quan Ho (love duet singing) and Ca Tru (ceremonial singing) in Bac Giang province” at the provincial Convention Center. This activity is included in the sequence of events to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Quan Ho and Ca Tru recognised by UNESCO as the intangible cultural heritages of humanity. 
Quan ho folk art troupe makes performance tour in Europe
A Quan ho (Love duet singing) art troupe of the northern province of Bac Ninh held a performance in Prague, the Czech Republic, on June 11 as part of its performance tour of four European countries – the Czech Republic, Poland, Germany and France.

(BGO) – The Center of Culture, Information and Sports of Bac Giang city joined hand with the Center of Culture and Cinema in Bac Giang province and the People’s Committee in Hoang Van Thu ward to organize the course to teach Cheo (traditional opera) and Quan ho (Love duet) singing to the grass root art talents in 2019.

(BGO) – The Center of Culture and Cinema in the northern province of Bac Giang cooperated with the Center of Culture and Information in Tan Yen district on May 8 kicked off the course to teach Cheo (traditional opera) and Quan ho (Love duet) singing to more than 70 art talents in Phuc Hoa commune (Tan Yen district).
