Now, every time they come to Bac Giang, domestic and international tourists are not only amazed by the beautiful landscapes but also immerse themselves in the smooth and passionate lyrics of Quan ho songs.

Viet Yen township is the "cradle" of Kinh Bac culture with 18 Quan ho villages included in the list for cultural heritage conservation and development, 50 Quan ho clubs set up by the commune-level People's Committees and 120 amateur Quan ho clubs. This is also a locality with great potential and advantages in developing cultural and spiritual tourism associated with craft village tourism in the province.

For many years, in the township, the majority of the established Quan ho clubs have maintained regular activities. Most club members practise the art 1-3 sessions a week at the cultural house of the village and residential area or at the club leader's house. Many clubs see the participation of three generations of a family.

In addition to activities at clubs, every year, Viet Yen township organizes a Quan ho singing festival at the Bo Da Pagoda Festival, attracting hundreds of singers from dozens of Quan ho villages. Currently, most primary and secondary schools as well as communes, wards, villages and residential areas have art clubs, mainly singing Quan ho songs.

The province has nearly 80 Quan ho clubs established under authorities’ decisions, operating in 10 district-level localities (mostly in Viet Yen township). In localities on the northern bank of Cau River, Quan ho singing has become an indispensable beauty in community cultural life.

Since being recognised by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2009, Bac Giang province has always paid attention to preserving and promoting the value of Quan ho folk songs by implementing many projects, plans, and research schemes.
