At the reception, the PPC Deputy Secretary Le Thi Thu Hong informed that Bac Giang has 10 industrial parks with investment policies approved by the Prime Minister.

To date, 4 industrial parks have been fully occupied, 4 others are under construction. The province is striving to complete all the goals set by the Resolution of the 19th Provincial Party Congress for the 2020-2025 term in 2024.

China is the country ranked first in total registered investment capital in Bac Giang (5.63 billion USD) and second in the number of investment projects in the province with 240 projects.

The PPC’s Standing Deputy Secretary hoped to receive close cooperation and further assistance from the leader of Nanning City to attract investment, promote trade, expand markets and export of goods to China, especially the strong agricultural products of Bac Giang.

At the meeting, Secretary of the Nanning City Party Committee Nong Sheng Wen emphasized that Guangxi is the closest province to Vietnam with more than 1,000 km of Vietnam-China border, so the two provinces have many favorable conditions for exchange and development.

Nanning is the city with the highest economic growth rate in China with special attention in industrial development. The city is selected to host the China-ASEAN exhibition fair in every September. ASEAN countries including Vietnam and especially Bac Giang province have many agricultural products exported to China.

This time, the Nanning City delegation came to Bac Giang to explore cooperation opportunities between businesses of the two sides. He wanted Vietnamese agricultural products to be gathered in Bac Giang then transported to China to reduce shipping costs.

Not only promoting cooperation in the fields of agriculture and industry, the Secretary of the Nanning City Party Committee expected both sides to boost cooperation in the fields of education, culture and tourism. He respectfully invited the Bac Giang delegation to visit Nanning City and attend the China - ASEAN exhibition fair in September.

In September 2023, the People's Committee of Bac Giang province and the People's Government of Nanning City signed a Memorandum of Understanding on establishing a mechanism to discuss government cooperation when the delegation of Bac Giang province attended the 20th China - ASEAN Exhibition. Leaders of the two localities also organized visits and working sessions to enhance understanding between the two sides.
