Currently, the province's industrial parks house three companies involving in semiconductor manufacturing, including Synergie Cad Vietnam Co., Ltd.; Si Flex Vietnam Co., Ltd.; and Hana Micron Vina Co., Ltd, with a total of nearly 8,100 workers. It is forecast that semiconductors businesses will need nearly 2,000 workers this year and 6,300 in the 2025-2030 period.

“However, to fully tap this potential, we need to focus on developing a high-quality workforce that meets market and technology requirements,” he said, adding Bac Giang province has been focusing on directing competent units to ensure the best conditions to welcome investors.

At the seminar, 15 presentations by experts, scientists, representatives of businesses, universities, and state management agencies assessed the demand, scale, structure, and technical labour characteristics of enterprises in the semiconductors industry in Bac Giang province in particular and the whole country in general; analysed the training capacity of vocational education institutions inside and outside the province in association with the labour demand of businesses.

At the same time, it will continue to pay attention to reforming administrative procedures to create favourable conditions for investors.

The seminar served as an important foundation for building a human resources training plan for the province’s semiconductor and AI industry.

Standing Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Mai Son and delegates witness the signing ceremony of an agreement on cooperation in semiconductor human resource training between Hana Micron Vina Co., Ltd. and the Bac Giang College of Industrial Technology.
