The project is executed on Tran Phu and My Do wards of Bac Giang city by consortium of Thang Long Mechanical Construction Corporation Joint Stock Company and HJC Construction Investment Corporation Joint Stock Company. Total value of bridge construction and erection hits nearly 300 billion VND (13 million USD) mobilized from loans of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and local budget. The municipal People’s Committee acts as the project investor.

The consortium contractor daily mobilizes machineries and more than 100 workers into six construction teams so as to speed up the project items.

A Lu bridge is designed to span over Thuong river with total length of 426m. It is constructed by reinforced and prestressed concrete with major bridge width of 19.5m. The main bridge has three continuous spans and beams which are built by reinforced and prestressed concrete and balanced cantilever method. There are four spans from A Lu side while the bridge has three spans from My Do side.

Apart from dayshift, the workers of contractors work at night, even till 12pm to accelerate the construction progress.

The constractors mobilize machineries to level the ground of the Western path to the bridge. As the design, the road bed is 36 meter width and the road surface is 18 – 21 meters. The construction volume now hits 75 percent of the plan. The project is scheduled to complete in May 2023. A Lu bridge is a key construction project to link Bac Giang city and My Do ward. It is expected to create driving momentum for regional socio-economic development as well as “linkage circle” for two banks of Thuong river.
