JA Solar Vietnam invests an additional 378 million USD in Bac Giang

BAC GIANG - The Industrial Park Management Board in Bac Giang province has just issued an investment registration certificate to adjust JA Solar Vietnam Company Limited’s project to produce silicon bars, silicon panels and high-performance photovoltaic cells in Quang Chau Industrial Park (Viet Yen district).

Accordingly, JA Solar Vietnam Co., Ltd. has added 378 million USD to expand production. The project is implemented in Vietnam Korean Industrial Park (Viet Yen district) on a total area of more than 219,400 square meters.

Its target is to produce solar battery components and products with output of (calculated by battery capacity) silicon bars 2.5 GW per year; silicon wafers 5 GW per year and photovoltaic cells 5 GW per year.

This is the foreign enterprise with the largest adjusted capital in Bac Giang since the beginning of the year. JA Solar Vietnam Co., Ltd. belongs to JA Solar Group (China) which has built many manufacturing factories in China and Vietnam. Products are available in 135 countries and territories.

JA Solar Group has invested in Vietnam since 2016 and now has 4 projects in Bac Giang. With the additional capital adjustment, the total investment of JA Solar Vietnam Co., Ltd. in Bac Giang reached 969 million USD. The company creates for thousands of workers, contributing to promoting the province's industrial development.
