Many of his followers praised the cave’s beauty under his post, with Norwegian DJ and music producer Alan Walker recalling his own music video shoot there for "Alone Pt. II" featuring American singer-songwriter Ava Max.

Garrix also visited Hanoi and enjoyed drinks on the city’s Train Street, as shown in another Sunday Instagram post. Local Tran Hai Nam, 37, said he encountered Garrix performing at a Hanoi bar on Jan. 28, where the audience requested his hit "Scared To Be Lonely," featuring Albanian singer-songwriter Dua Lipa, and celebrated with the band.

Audience members then bought drinks for the band, Nam said. He added that he only recognized Garrix after the bar staff told him.

"Everyone took commemorative photos with Martin," he said. "He is very friendly in real life."

Garrix previously visited Vietnam in 2016 for a sold-out Hanoi concert and again in 2018 for a Ho Chi Minh City Formula 1 event.

Born Martijn Gerard Garritsen, Garrix, 28, began his music career early. He started learning to play the guitar at the age of eight.. That was also the year when he decided to pursue a dream of becoming a DJ after watching Dutch DJ and music producer Tiesto perform at the Athens Olympic Games in Greece.

His debut track "BFAM" with Dutch DJ and music producer Julian Jordan was released in 2012, and he quickly rose to fame.

He then became the youngest person to top the American electronic music-oriented online music store Beatport’s chart in 2014, and topped DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJs list in 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2022.

Son Doong is the world’s largest cave by volume. It was discovered in 1990 by a local man named Ho Khanh, who then led a team of professionals, including two members of the Royal British Cave Association, on the first expedition of the cave in 2009.
