Setting typical examples in learning and flowing Uncle Ho for spreading

Updated: 17:02, 11/04/2024

BAC GIANG- In order to promote learning and following Ho Chi Minh’s thought, morality and style, the all-level party committees in northern province of Bac Giang have paid attention to building exemplars thereby cheering up and expanding good deeds and methods.

Highlights at grassroots level

In recent years, the face of Buoi village in Dan Hoi commune, Luc Nam district has been dramatically changed. Firstly, the cultural house has been built to provide the locals a place for entertainment and practicing sports to improve their health. Besides, the village has mobilized resources to build a new stadium with artificial turf and lighting system valued at some billions VND.

The center area in Hoa Minh village, Hop Duc commune, Tan Yen district was beautifully constructed thanks to setting examples for the officials, party members and people in learning and following Uncle Ho.

In addition, the party committee and management board of the village continue leading people to join hands in concreting rural roads and improving field canal system for production.

Such outstanding results have been gained thanks to the dedication and responsibility of the female secretary of the village party committee Truong Thi Trinh. For over 20 years working in the village, she has made many contributions to changing the face of Buoi village.

Particularly, she mobilized local people and those who live far from the home land to donate nearly 100 million VND (4,000 USD) in implementing the guideline on renewing the village stadium. The completed stadium became a place for the clubs to organize exchange and practicing activities. Buoi village is also the leading in art and sports movements in the commune.

In recent 3 years, the movement “2 good” (one good deed for yourself and the other for the community and society) is considered a highlight model in learning and following Uncle Ho in Luc Ngan district. Many other exemplars have been found and spread from this movement.

For spreading effect

The party committees have attached importance to building typical models and exemplars to expand. Particularly, Tan Yen district selected 5 typical models in environment protection, self-governed security and land clearance in the associations and unions for spreading. The standing board of the district party committee organizes quarterly meetings to evaluate the implementation progress; hence the selected models gained high results.

The model of women’s participation in environment protection, waste gathering and treatment to help poor members is a good example. The all-level women’s unions in the district earned over 1.5 billion VND (60,134 USD) to buy sewing machines, breeders (cow and hen) for poor members to improve their living.

In line with building exemplary models, the district-level party committees have paid attention to praising and commendation to encourage development of emulative movements. All of the websites of the localities and units post the contents about advanced exemplars in learning and following Uncle Ho.

According to Le Duc Minh, Deputy Head of the Commission for Publication and Education of the provincial Party Committee, the province has built more than 1,200 exemplary models in recent 2 years.

These are outstanding collectives and individuals who perform good deeds and methods in building new-style rural areas, protecting environmental hygiene, building cultural lifestyle, the all people protecting national security or emulative movements of the youth and women’s unions and farmers’ association.

The typical models and outstanding individuals who have been praised and rewarded so far contributed to spreading good deeds with the spirit “taking the good to defeat the bad”.
