Vietnamese designs impressed visitors at Shanghai Fashion Week

Updated: 21:41, 01/04/2024

Four collections by Vietnamese designer Vu Lan Anh left deep impressions on visitors at the Shanghai Fashion Week 2024, which took place from March 28 to 30.

Entitled ‘Flower Fairies’, ‘Mademoiselle A Dao’, ‘The Muse’, and ‘Night Talk’, the four collections include children’s clothes inspired from traditional Vietnamese costumes.

Vietnamese designs impressed visitors at Shanghai Fashion Week

All designs in the collections were made manually with details and patterns inspired by Vietnamese fairy tales, and folklore stories.

The designs were brought to the stage through the catwalks of 10 Vietnamese and 50 Chinese kid models.

This is the first time a Vietnamese kid designer has joined the Shanghai Fashion Week, and Vu Lan Anh was also the only Vietnamese representative at the 2024 event.

Sharing her thoughts about the event, Vu Lan Anh said that she was proud to participate in Shanghai Fashion Week AW24.

She expressed her hope that the presence of a Vietnamese brand and kid models at the event will contribute to promoting Vietnamese culture and encouraging more Vietnamese kid models to catwalk on international fashion stages.
