At the end of the campaign, Director of the provincial Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs (DOLISA) Duong Ngoc Chien granted an interview to Bac Giang Newspaper about the results and further solutions to supply human resources for businesses.

Please inform us about current needs for labourers to work at businesses in the province's industrial parks?

Bac Giang has recently achieved good results in attracting investment and developing businesses. The number of businesses is constantly increasing. Up to now, the province has more than 9,500 operating businesses with more than 306,000 labourers.

In 2024, the local enterprises need to recruit more than 100,000 employees. Some big employers are Foxconn Technology Group; Luxshare Group - ICT in Van Trung Industrial Park and Quang Chau Industrial Park; New Wing Interconnect Technology Co., Ltd.; Vietnam Lens Technology Co.,Ltd in Quang Chau Industrial Park and others.

To date, 4 delegations in charge of attracting labourers to work in Bac Giang province have completed business trips to 4 provinces. Could you please let me know the results?

From March 13 to the end of March 2024, the People's Committee of Bac Giang province organized 4 working delegations to visit the provinces of Lang Son, Cao Bang, Hoa Binh and Son La.

At these localities, Bac Giang delegates discussed and agreed with the People's Committees of the provinces on the policy and coordination plan to organize activities to support job creation for workers and ensure labor resources for the province's businesses.

Also, two sides joint hands in organizing conference to promote labor attraction in both direct and online format.

As a result, the leaders of the above mentioned provinces agreed to support Bac Giang in promoting labor attraction as well as finalized the policy to connect monthly propaganda information about the labor recruitment needs of businesses in Bac Giang province.

The sectors, localities and workers in the provinces initially grasped and understood the information about recruitment needs and the province's message on attracting workers from outside to work at businesses in Bac Giang province.

Bac Giang province initially seized information about the labor source that needs to create jobs every year in the other provinces.

After this period, what is the suggestion the DOLISA advise the Provincial People's Committee to meet the target of luring workers to work in Bac Giang?

The DOLISA continues coordinating with Northern provinces with abundant labor resources to inform and attract them to work at enterprises in Bac Giang while consulting the Provincial People's Committee to organize promotion activities to attract high-quality labor at colleges and universities.

The labor sector also implements solutions to renovate and develop the vocational education system in an open, diverse, flexible, interconnected and modern direction with many training models, methods and levels to meet the learning needs of workers.

At the same time, DOLISA supports the development of labor market information systems, connects labor supply and demand, directs the Provincial Employment Service Center and employment service suppliers to improve the quality and quantity of employment transactions with provinces to assist enterprises in recruiting workers.

The labor department continues promoting labor transition trends such as shifting from rural and agricultural areas to industrial, construction and service sectors; from the informal sector to the formal sector; from outside to inside industrial parks and clusters.

Besides, the DOLISA creates connection and integration among training facilities - production establishments- job introduction centers; establishes a labor distribution channel with a clear source of information, ensuring proactive understanding of the situation and good response to human resource market needs.
