BAC GIANG - The investment attraction results in Bac Giang province help effectively create job. However, many new businesses that have just come into operation or are scaling up still face many difficulties in recruiting workers due to limited supply. Therefore, functional agencies and related units have accelerated cooperation to support and ensure stable human resources for production.

According to the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs (DOLISA), Bac Giang now has 9,500 operating enterprises that create jobs for more than 306,000 workers.

Staff of DESAY Battery Vina Company Limited interviews workers at a job transaction session held at the Provincial Employment Service Center.

Particulalry, 426 enterprises operating in the provincial industrial parks employ 191,000 labourers with an average income of 8 million VND per person per month.

Regarding the labor market, the Provincial Employment Service Center under the DOLISA said there are currently 27 businesses registered to recruit nearly 35,700 vacant positions. Among these, there are 5 new enterprises operating and expanding production with the need to recruit nearly 27,000 workers.

Even though the new companies prepared recruitment plans early, they still have difficulties in recruiting unskilled workers.

To support businesses in finding human resources, in 2024, the Provincial Employment Services Center plans to organize 75 job transaction sessions, including 49 regular, 6 thematic, 12 mobile and the rest of online sessions.

In addition, the Center promotes the application of information technology in connecting labor supply and demand; coordinates with districts, township and city to popularize the enterprises’ vacancies so that workers can update and register.

According to Nguyen Van Hue, Director of the Provincial Employment Service Center, after the province organized 4 delegations of labor attraction led by the provincial leaders to the provinces of Hoa Binh, Son La, Lang Son, Cao Bang, the Center focuses on coordinating with the counterpart in other provinces to promote recruitment connection.

At the same time, the Center coordinates with relevant units to link with vocational schools and businesses in training and supplying human resources. This address-based training model brings "dual" benefits to help businesses have a labor source suitable to their needs, save recruitment costs and give students and graduates job opportunities with stable and good income.

Nguyen Thi Hong, Principal of Bac Giang Mountainous College said to date, the College has inked cooperation agreements with nearly 100 businesses in the province which create conditions for students to practice and open up job opportunities after graduation.

It is forecast that from now until the end of the year, local companies will need to recruit about 52,000 workers, mainly unskilled ones in the electronics and garment industries.

DOLISA’s Deputy Director Tran Van Ha said that in recent years, the "wave" of investment in Bac Giang's industrial parks has increased, leading to an increasing need for labor recruitment and difficulty for the labor supply. On the other hand, the competition between policies and incentives among businesses also causes many labor disturbances.

To stabilize the market and meet human resources for businesses’development, Labor sector directed the Provincial Employement Service Center to focus on surveying and forecasting the annual supply and demand; regularly provide information about recruitment needs to localities; organize many mobile job transaction sessions, especially in rural and mountainous areas.

Additionally, due attention must be paid to linking vocational training by address, providing quality human resources that meet the business requirements. The DOLISA proactively reviews the vocational school system and develops training programs close to market needs.

The businesses should adjust recruitment requirements, using both male, female and middle-aged workers to create equal employment opportunities for many people.
