The Resolution of the 23rd Congress of the Party Committee of Viet Yen district (now Viet Yen township) for the 2020-2025 term set out 13 major targets and tasks; including 12 targets and tasks on socio-economic development and 1 target and task on Party and mass organization work.

The 12 targets and tasks on socio-economic development were divided into 31 component targets. As a result, 25 component targets have been completed and exceeded the plan so far while 6 remaining targets and tasks will be completed in 2025.

Viet Yen's economic growth rate in the past 4 years has averaged 26.8% per year. In 2024 it reached 29.8%, ranking first among districts, townships and city in the province. National defense and security are always ensured, political security and social order and safety are maintained.

Concluding the meeting, PPC Chairman Nguyen Viet Oanh acknowledged and commended the efforts and contributions of cadres, party members and people of Viet Yen township throughout the local development process.

To contribute to the successful completion of the province's growth target in 2025, the PPC Chairman requested the Party Committees and authorities at all levels of Viet Yen township in the coming time to focus on thoroughly grasping Conclusion No. 127-KL/TW dated February 28, 2025 of the Politburo and Plan No. 68-KH/TU dated March 4, 2025 of the Provincial Party Standing Committee on implementing research and proposing to further rearrange the organization of the political system.

He emphasized that the province's growth depends largely on the localities, in which Viet Yen's growth accounts for a large proportion, so Viet Yen needs to maintain its position as the economic "locomotive" of Bac Giang.

Therefore, local leaders need to be more determined in directing and operating socio-economic development as well as other local activities.

The township must resolve local problems in socio-economic development, set a completion roadmap in social housing projects built in the area and focus on site clearance to draw more investment.

The township was urged to join hands with the province to calculate the plan to merge communes and wards as well as locate headquarters with the goal of both making use of land and infrastructure and preventing waste in investment.

The provincial leader suggested Viet Yen to quickly settle completed projects. Regarding local problems, the province will request specialized agencies to synthesize and resolve them as soon as possible.

Viet Yen township prioritizes resources to promote roles of digital technology task force
