Da Nang among world's top 10 foodie destinations: Michelin Guide
The Michelin Guide has included Da Nang, a central Vietnamese tourism hotspot, in its list of the world's 10 most exciting foodie destinations to explore this year.
"The city's food scene, spotlighted by The Michelin Guide since last June, blends fresh seafood, regional specialties, and traditional Vietnamese flavors," the renowned French guide noted.

Among the must-try dishes in Da Nang, the guide highlighted mi Quang (Quang-style noodles) and bun cha ca (fish cake noodle soup).
Quang-style noodles are a distinctive dish from Vietnam’s central region, featuring a combination of flat rice noodles and yellow egg noodles served in a small amount of flavorful meat broth.
The dish is complemented by a mix of crispy vegetables and fresh herbs, such as banana blossoms, lettuce, cilantro, scallions, and Vietnamese coriander.
Fish cake noodle soup, another local favorite, features a tomato- and pumpkin-based broth paired with fresh fish cakes. Diners can opt for traditional fish cakes or add slices of mackerel or tuna for variety.
The guide recommended iconic dining spots in Da Nang, such as Nen Danang and Madame Lan. These venues offer diverse local cuisine, served in charming courtyards adorned with colorful lanterns hanging from trees.

Additionally, 16 restaurants in Da Nang were included in the Michelin Guide’s Bib Gourmand list, which celebrates eateries offering excellent food at affordable prices.
Other destinations on the list of top foodie cities included Austin (U.S.), Amsterdam (Netherlands), Bangkok (Thailand), Fujian (China), Osaka (Japan), and Vienna (Austria).
