According to the district Division of Agriculture and Rural Development, the district consumed more than 43,300 tonnes of oranges and grapefruits. This season, the selling price of oranges in Luc Ngan was higher than the previous season.

Specifically, sweet oranges were sold right at the garden with prices ranging from 50,000 to 70,000 VND (2.1 – 3 USD) per kg; yellow flesh oranges cost from 25 to 35,000 VND per kg.

In this season, Luc Ngan's orange and grapefruit output reached more than 43,300 tonnes, including over 22,000 tonnes of oranges, 21,000 tonnes of grapefruit, 4,000 tonnes of other citrus fruits. The jujube, guava and dragon fruit yielded nearly 23,000 tonnes... The harvest time started from September 2023 to February 2024.

Immediately after harvesting, the competent forces have focused on instructing people to care for and prevent pests for the trees so as to help them grow well for high productivity and efficiency in the next crop.

Luc Ngan harvests nearly 17,000 tons of oranges and grapefruits

BAC GIANG - To date, local farmers in Luc Ngan district (Bac Giang province) have harvested nearly 17,000 tons of oranges and grapefruits (reaching more than 41 percent of the total estimated output), including nearly 11,000 tonnes of yellow flesh oranges, more than 2,000 tonnes of green-skinned grapefruit, over 3,000 tonnes of other grapefruits and citrus fruits, reported the district Division of Agriculture and Rural Development.
