Bac Giang city completes infrastructure, attracts investment in industrial parks and clusters
BAC GIANG - The enterprises in industrial parks and clusters in Bac Giang city (Bac Giang province) have created jobs for many laborers and contributed significantly to the state budget. The city is implementing many solutions to improve infrastructure, expand scale and increase investment attraction.
Upgrade infrastructure, attract investment
After the administrative merger, Bac Giang city is expanded with much room for industrial development.

The city currently has 7 industrial parks (IP) with a planned area of over 1,600 hectares, three of which are put into operation, including Song Khe - Noi Hoang IP (North), Van Trung IP and Yen Lu IP while the rest are implementing administrative procedures and site clearance.
Besides, the city also focuses on planning industrial clusters, calling for investment, helping promote local industries.
The city now has 11 industrial clusters, with an occupancy rate of 95.2%. Identifying that industry creates an important driving force for socio-economic development, the city has actively coordinated with relevant provincial agencies and investors to speed up the implementation of industrial park and cluster projects and attract secondary investors to production and business.
Dinh Tri Industrial Cluster is being invested in for expansion. The project is invested in by Cat Tuong Consulting and Construction Limited Company (Bac Giang city) for infrastructure construction, with a scale of 14.2 hectares.
Accordingly, the Company has invested about 150 billion VND (6.4 million USD) to clear the land and build synchronous technical infrastructure including traffic system, production electricity, lighting electricity, clean water, modern wastewater treatment system, fire prevention and fighting system.
When the industrial park comes into operation at 100% capacity, there will attract about 11 secondary investors, creating jobs for tens of thousands of laborers.
Speed up site clearance
In fact, industrial development has made an important contribution to promoting growth and economic restructuring in Bac Giang city.
As a result, in the first quarter of 2025, the city's industrial production value (at 2010 comparable prices) is estimated at 20,141 billion VND (860.5 million USD), an increase of 14.8% over the same period last year.
To date, the city has granted business registration to 1,090 cases, with a total registered capital of 726 billion VND.
At the same time, the municipal authority has coordinated with the provincial functional agencies to appraise and submit to competent authorities for consideration and approval of investment policies, adjustment of investment policies and register investment in 22 projects, with a total investment capital of 4 trillion VND.
Industrial parks and clusters have created regular jobs for tens of thousands of people with the average income of 8-9 millionVND per person per month.
During implementing industrial park and cluster projects, the city prioritizes calling for investors with potential and experience in developing industrial infrastructure, large projects, products with high scientific and technological content, creating high added value associated with environmental protection.
At the same time, the city synchronously deploys solutions to improve the investment and business environment; focusing on administrative reform, publicity, transparency and building a service-oriented government.
Resources shall be effectively planned and mobilized to invest in synchronous and modern infrastructure, especially transportation, electricity, water, and telecommunications infrastructure.
The city also strengthens measures to create clean land funds, hand over land to investors to build infrastructure and soon put projects into production and business.
According to Nguyen Tien Dung, Permanent Vice Chairman of Bac Giang City People's Committee, in the coming time, the city will continue to focus on propaganda, mobilization to create consensus among the people to speed up the progress of site clearance.
Additionally, local authority will pay more attention to solving the problem of employment and career transition for rural people in the process of industrial development, ensuring that local people benefit directly from industrial development, thereby, soon handing over the site to investors for implementation.
The city also mobilizes resources to develop urban, commercial and social infrastructure to serve industry.
