This strong performance is attributed to the Customs Branch’s proactive approach early this year as it directed the staff to focus on expediting customs clearance procedures for import and export enterprises.
The agency processed nearly 160,000 customs declaration sheets, enhanced the monitoring and management of imported and exported goods, promoted electronic tax payment and ensured the smooth operation of its automated clearance systems and online public services to support businesses in fulfilling their tax and customs obligations.
