The Project was commenced in late 2021, passing through Viet Yen township and the districts of Tan Yen and Yen The with total investment of over 1,452 billion VND from the central and provincial budgets.

Vice Chairman of the Bac Giang Provincial People's Committee Phan The Tuan inspects the construction progress of the road connecting National Highway 37 - 17 to Vo Nhai (Thai Nguyen).

This is a key project with an important role, creating momentum for inter-regional socio-economic development in the province and connecting with other provinces.

The Project is invested by the Provincial Management Board of Investment and Construction of Traffic and Agricultural Works (Provincial Management Board). The joint venture of 559 Construction and Trade Joint Stock Company - Tan Thinh Construction Co.,Ltd - Hong Ha Investment, Construction and Trade Joint Stock Company is the construction contractor.

According to the design, the project includes a main route of more than 42 km and a branch line of nearly 13.8 km. The starting point intersects with National Highway 37-17 - Provincial Road 292 near Lai Nghien pumping station (Viet Yen township). The end point is in Canh Nau commune (Yen The) to the end of Bac Giang province, connecting to the existing road in Binh Long commune, Vo Nhai district.

The main route is divided into two sections, section 1 is built according to the standards of third grade plain road, with a roadbed width of 12 m and a road surface width of 11 m while the section 2 is designed as third grade mountainous road, with a roadbed width of 9 m and a road surface width of 8 m.

The project is now basically completed. The contractor has completed more than 42 km of road on the main route and is currently finishing additional arising items.

After listening to the report and inspecting the actual situation, Phan The Tuan requested the Provincial Management Board to urge contractors to mobilize machinery and human resources to speed up construction progress, complete the remaining items of Construction Package No. 7 and the entire project before April 30, 2025.

He noted to separate the task of landslide issue from the project and implement it according to the emergency treatment plan which was assigned to Yen The district to handle.

The route connecting National Highway 37 - 17 to Vo Nhai (Thai Nguyen) through Canh Nau Commune (Yen The) is under construction.

Accordingly, the People's Committee of Yen The district urgently coordinates with the Department of Natural Resources and Environment to review and accurately assess the reserves of soil and rock to complete legal procedures, organize auctions of mineral exploitation rights according to regulations before transporting them out of the area.

When the Project is completed, the Provincial Management Board will fully carry out the procedures to finalize the contract, hand over the project for exploitation and use, and soon promote its effectiveness in practice.
