Over 700 billion VND to be spent on new rural building
BAC GIANG - This year, Bac Giang province strives to have 2 more communes meeting new style rural standard, 6 communes meeting advanced new style rural standard, 3 communes meeting model new rural standard and 63 model new rural villages, reported the provincial Coordination Office for new style rural area.
The communes that have met the standards will continue to maintain and improve the quality of the criteria according to the set of new rural criteria for the 2021-2025 period and develop a plan to implement the set of criteria for advanced and model new rural communes in the following period.

Tan Yen district strives to complete the dossier to submit to the Central Government for recognition of meeting the advanced new rural standard.
Along with that, the province strives to reduce the poverty rate of the whole province to 0.9%; increase the rate of trained labor to 80% and people participating in health insurance to 99.5% of the population; population with access to clean water to 80.5%...
The budget to implement the above targets is about 700 billion VND (29.4 million USD), including over 283 billion VND from the central budget, more than 64.6 billion VND from the provincial budget, over 92.2 billion VND from the district, town and city budget, over 65.6 billion VND from the commune budget and over 190.6 billion VND from the credit capital, people's contributions and other support sources.
Vietnam has raised over 2.8 quadrillion VND (112 billion USD) nationwide for rural area investment, including the new-style rural development initiative, according to the latest data from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD).
BAC GIANG - In the process of new rural area building, many localities in Bac Giang province have been oriented to invest in building synchronous and modern infrastructure, connecting with urban areas, especially areas on the outskirts of towns and townships or planned to become towns and townships, thereby, gradually approaching the infrastructure, service and commercial conditions of urban areas.
BAC GIANG - Implementing the New Rural Building Program, using the allocated capital from the Central Government, this year, Bac Giang province arranged more than 15.2 billion VND (over 644.886 USD) to implement components to support people to increase their income in a sustainable way.
BAC GIANG - Tan Yen district sets a task and strives to achieve advanced new style rural standards by 2025. After many efforts in execution, up to now, the authorities have assessed that this locality has achieved six out of nine criteria for advanced new rural district.
BAC GIANG - The set of criteria for model new-style rural villages has been applied in Bac Giang province since May 2018. Now the entire province has hundreds of model new-style rural villages, contributing to comprehensively changing the picture of rural areas and forming livable countryside.
Vietnam is planning to carry out a nationwide general rural and agricultural census from July 1, 2025, according to a decision signed by Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Khai.
