Nguyen Thi Nhung becomes first Vietnamese coach to gain A-class international certificate
Nguyen Thi Nhung, former head coach of the national shooting team, has become the first Vietnamese national to gain an A-class international coaching certificate by the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF).
This is the highest level of course operated by the ISSF Academy, attesting that professional coaches have trained in sports shooting.

Accordingly, Nhung was granted the ISSF certificated shooting sports coach class A in pistol.
During her career, Nhung has made remarkable contributions to the development of Vietnamese shooting sports.
Before her retirement, she served as Head of the Shooting Department at the General Department of Sports and Physical Training as well as Vice President and Secretary General of the Vietnam Shooting Federation.
While working as head coach of the national shooting team, Nhung and Vietnamese shooters achieved remarkable success at both regional and international tournaments.
Most notably, at the Rio 2016 Olympics, she and expert Park Chung-gun of the Republic of Korea coached Hoang Xuan Vinh to earn a historic achievement with one gold medal, one silver medal, and an Olympic record. This remains Vietnam’s greatest sporting accomplishment to date.
Nhung’s A-class coaching certificate is not only her personal pride but also an important recognition for the development of Vietnamese shooting sport in the international arena.
