Over 1,000 runners join “Journey to connect Con Son-Kiep Bac heritage” marathon
The 2025 Con Son-Kiep Bac marathon is a journey to connect the heritage between Con Son Pagoda and Kiep Bac Temple, a symbol of Hai Duong Province associated with the sacred land of talented people in Chi Linh City.
The event was held on February 14-16, attracting more than 1,600 athletes to participate in 4 competitions including: 5km, 10km, 21km, and 42km runs.

The event is the highlight of the 2025 Con Son-Kiep Bac Spring Festival, contributing to promoting the image of the Con Son-Kiep Bac relic site in the process of building a dossier for the Yen Tu - Vinh Nghiem - Con Son, Kiep Bac relic complex of the 3 provinces of Hai Duong, Quang Ninh, and Bac Giang to submit to UNESCO for recognition as a world heritage.
Most of the running route is newly completed roads passing through many historical and cultural relics as well as new, spacious and modern constructions of Chi Linh City.
The final stage of the Viettel Marathon Series 2024, the first Vietnamese-initiated running event crossing the Indochinese region, took place in Cambodia on December 22.

BAC GIANG- The 2 top Vietnamese athletes Nguyen Thi Oanh and Pham Tien San (from Bac Giang province) will attend the 41st Bac Giang Newspaper Half Marathon 2024, according to the Organizing Board.
