Promptly remove difficulties, strive to achieve set goals: Bac Giang provincial leader
BAC GIANG - Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Nguyen Viet Oanh chaired the province’s March regular meeting on April 2.
According to a report presented at the event, despite facing many difficulties and challenges, the province’s socio-economic situation in March and the first three months of 2025 still achieved important results.

Specifically, economic growth exceeded the set plan, leading the country. Agricultural production met its targets. The service sectors and import-export value continued to experience strong growth.
Public investment allocation and disbursement plans were closely monitored and executed drastically. The growth rate of investment from the state budget reached a high level, and social welfare remained a priority.
Administrative reform, organisational streamlining, and digital transformation progressed in line with government requirements.

Addressing the function, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Phan The Tuan asked departments and agencies to proactively build tasks and functions for authorities at the commune level after the reorganisation.
He emphasised the delegation of responsibilities related to budget revenue collection, land clearance, and the allocation of revenues and expenditures.
The arrangement of public assets must be done carefully, avoiding wastefulness; and a review of legal documents is necessary, as each locality has different mechanisms and policies and those superior need to be promoted, he noted.
Concluding the meeting, Oanh emphasised that the majority of socio-economic indicators in the first quarter met or exceeded the set targets.
Regarding upcoming tasks, he requested that the review of targets continue, and any obstacles or difficulties be promptly removed. Delays in resolving issues would result in missed investment opportunities for development, he stated.
It is necessary to prepare conditions for the groundbreaking of key projects that will contribute significantly to the province's development, he said, stressing the need to monitor the factors impacting the socio-economic situation and clarify the subjective and objective causes affecting the economy for timely solutions. A strong determination is needed to achieve the set growth targets, he noted.

Efforts should be made to accelerate the progress of industrial park infrastructure investment, bringing them into operation as soon as possible to attract investment, Oanh said, adding necessary conditions for infrastructure, human resources, and land must be prepared to proactively attract foreign investment.
“Focus should be placed on grasping the production and business activities of enterprises, providing timely support, and resolving any difficulties within their authority to help businesses stabilise production,” he asserted.
The reorganisation of the political system must follow central and provincial directions, with personnel in agencies and units well-arranged, ensuring stability and uninterrupted operations. Meanwhile, the capacity of cadres and civil servants must continue to be improved to meet the requirements of their tasks.
