71.3 million USD bridge connecting Bac Ninh - Bac Giang to be completed in 2028
BAC GIANG – As schedule, Ha Bac 1 Bridge connecting Bac Ninh and Bac Giang provinces will be constructed in 2026 and completed in 2028.
The People's Committee of Bac Ninh province has just submitted a document to the People's Council of Bac Ninh province on approving the policy of assigning the competent authority to implement the investment project to build Ha Bac 1 bridge and its paths connecting Bac Ninh province and Bac Giang province.

Accordingly, the width of the bridge is 22.5m, the length of the bridge is about 970m. The access roads on both sides of the bridge are invested according to the approved plan, ensuring connection with the regional traffic system.
The total investment is expected to be about 1,700 billion VND (71.3 million USD) from the central budget support and the provincial budget's public investment capital.
The preparation work for investment project takes place in 2025. The project will be constructed in 2026 and completed in 2028.
The project is located on provincial road 298B of Bac Giang province, provincial road 295C of Bac Ninh province, connecting provincial road 398 (belt road IV of Bac Giang province) with national highway 18.
Bac Ninh and Bac Giang are considered the industrial hubs of the North with many large-scale industrial parks, the production base of many large economic groups around the world such as Samsung, Amkor, Goertek and Foxconn among others.
Strengthening traffic connectivity will contribute to the socio-economic development of localities and the whole region.
Previously, in June 2023, the expanded Nhu Nguyet Bridge project, spanning the Cau River, connecting the two provinces of Bac Ninh and Bac Giang, was inaugurated on the vital Hanoi - Lang Son Expressway.
The Ha Bac 2 Bridge project with a total investment of 358 billion VND connecting Viet Yen township and Hiep Hoa district (Bac Giang) with Yen Phong district (Bac Ninh) is also under construction.
These two localities are also coordinating to implement the Van Ha Bridge project connecting Van Ha commune, Viet Yen township of Bac Giang province with Hoa Long ward, Bac Ninh city of Bac Ninh province with total investment of 220 billion VND.
The Hanoi People’s Committee has submitted a proposal to the municipal People’s Council for approval of investment plans and adjustments to several public investment projects, including the Tran Hung Dao, Tu Lien and Ngoc Hoi bridges.

BAC GIANG - According to the Management Board of Investment and Construction Projects for Traffic and Agricultural Works in Bac Giang Province, after more than 2 years of construction, the bridge section of the Dong Viet Bridge and its paths in Bac Giang City (Bac Giang province) was completed in December 2024.
