BAC GIANG - Hoa Son Bridge over Cau River which is located in Hoa Son Commune, Hiep Hoa District (Bac Giang) and Dong Cao Ward, Pho Yen City (Thai Nguyen) has just opened to traffic.

The construction of Hoa Son bridge and its paths connecting Hiep Hoa district with Pho Yen city was started in 2021. This is a key traffic project of the province with total investment cost of more than 540 billion VND (22.8 million USD) from the state budget.

Hoa Son Bridge newly opens to traffic.

The project is invested by the Provincial Management Board of Traffic and Agricultural Investment and Construction Project (Project Management Board) to build a new bridge and its paths. Bridge 4 Joint Stock Company (Hanoi City) is the contractor for the bridge construction.

According to the design, the bridge has a total length of 439 m, the bridge surface is 11 m wide. Its paths are built in line with the standards of a third grade plain road with a total length of more than 10 km, a road surface width of 11 m, and a base width of 12 m.

The starting point of the approach road intersects with National Highway 37 in Luong Phong Commune (Hiep Hoa) while the end point is in Dong Cao Ward, Pho Yen City.

The construction of the bridge and the path on the Bac Giang side was completed in early 2024. The approach road on the Thai Nguyen side to the Hoa Son bridge has just been completed with the paving.

The opening of Hoa Son Bridge helps shorten the route and travel time from Bac Giang to Thai Nguyen province, create favorable conditions for economic development in Bac Giang and Thai Nguyen regions, thereby, promoting investment attraction in the area, contributing to local socio-economic development.
