Bac Giang provincial leader visits, extends New Year greetings to international cooperation agencies and FDI enterprises
BAC GIANG- On December 19, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee of Bac Giang province (PPC) Phan The Tuan and leaders of some provincial departments visited and extended New Year greetings to the Offices of Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in Hanoi and 3 foreign direct investment (FDI) companies in Hiep Hoa district, Viet Yen township and Bac Giang city.
At the visits, PPC Vice Chairman Phan The Tuan briefed on the socio-economic development of the province in 2024 and the province’s FDI attraction policies.

In recent years, Korean Government granted to build the Vietnam-Korea College of Technology in Bac Giang province (VKTech) through KOICA.
PPC Vice Chairman requested KOICA Vietnam Office to continue supporting VKTech and collaborated related agencies of the province to speed up 2 projects in the province including “Employment-linked vocational education and training for the people of vulnerable group in the war-affected regions and the youth of Vietnam by supporting Vietnam - Korea college of technology in Bac Giang in talent and skilled labors development” and “Data analysis capacity building project for water quality management in Bac Giang province”.
Speaking at the meeting, Lee Byung Hwa, Country Director of KOICA Vietnam said KOICA will concentrate on accelerating the 2 mentioned projects for soon efficiency.
He believed that the fine relationship between KOICA Vietnam and Bac Giang province will be more tightened.
On the occasion of New Year 2025, PPC Vice Chairman presented flowers and gifts to congratulate Lee Byung Hwa and the leaders and staff of KOICA.
He affirmed Bac Giang will closely collaborate with KOICA to effectively implement the programmes and projects in the province in coming time.

At the visit to UNESCO Office in Hanoi, PPC Vice Chairman Phan The Tuan highly appreciated the attention of the organisation to recognition of the cultural heritages of Bac Giang province so far.
He requested UNESCO to continue paying attention and supporting the province in preserving and promoting the recognized heritages.
He also expected that UNESCO will support the province in science and technology, education, information and communication and help the province to approach scientific advancements in the fourth industrial revolution.
Besides, the provincial leader requested UNESCO to support the province with overseas short-term and long-term training courses for public officials of the province and send experts for at-site training in the province, especially in education and heritage conservation to enhance capacity of public officials and promote intensive human resource development.
In addition, UNESCO was expected to help the province to approach the projects in education and training, culture, tourism, environment and coping with climate change.

On this occasion, the PPC Vice Chairman gave flowers and gifts and extended New Year greetings to the leaders and staff of UNESCO Office in Hanoi.
On the same day, PPC Vice Chairman Phan The Tuan visited Hanoi Sungho Electronics Company Limited in Hop Thinh industrial cluster (Hiep Hoa district), Huacheng Company Limited in Hoang Mai cluster, Nenh ward, Viet Yen township and Pearl Global Vietnam Company Limited in Dum village, Dinh Tri commune, Bac Giang city.
He hoped the companies will continue to grow up, keep solidarity, stimulate innovation and creativity to surpass the production and business targets in 2025, contributing to promoting socio-economic development of the localities.
The province will always accompany and support enterprises to timely remove difficulties and create the most favourable conditions for enterprises to develop.
