The project to build Dong Viet bridge and its paths (Project) started in June 2022 with a total length of more than 811 m, the bridge deck of 23.5 m width. This is the first and largest cable-stayed bridge in the province. The bridge is built across Thuong River to connect Bac Giang and Hai Duong provinces.

Tran Ngoc Tu, Project Managing Director said that at this time, the Dong Viet bridge and its paths are still being constructed as schedule with 80 % of the work volume for the bridge done.

On the construction site, there are always 50 - 60 workers highly focusing on constructing the remaining items such as completing the edge, median strip, pouring concrete on the bridge deck, installing the lighting system...

According to the representative of the provincial Management Board for Construction Investment Project of Transport and Agricultural Works - the investor, the unit is now focusing on urging and requesting contractors to commit to accelerate the remaining items and strive to open technical traffic before September 2 this year.

The completion of Dong Viet Bridge will help ease local commuters, ensure safety and promote the circulation of goods between Bac Giang and Hai Duong provinces. Also, it will support tourism development, create conditions to attract investors in industrial parks and clusters in the province.
