The Ministry of Information and Communications held a conference in Hanoi on August 22 to provide an update on Vietnam’s implementation of recommendations from the Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination (CERD).

BAC GIANG - Luc Ngan is a mountainous district with 10 disadvantaged communes and 66 villages in extremely difficult areas. The whole district has 51.1% of the population being ethnic minorities. In recent times, thanks to enjoying support policies and effectively using preferential credit, many ethnic minority households have escaped poverty and their lives are increasingly prosperous.

Various activities will be held at the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism next month in celebration of the upcoming National Independence Day.

BAC GIANG – The 2024 Ethnic Folk Cultural Performance Competition wrapped up on Agust 4 in Quang Ngai province. The Culture and Cinema Center of Bac Giang province won 1 Gold Medal, 3 Silver Medals, 1 Second Prize and an individual Certificate of Merit.

BAC GIANG - In the period 2022-2024, Bac Giang province focused on investing and building civil overflow bridge and bridge for people in ethnic minority and mountainous areas. New transportation projects helped people develop economy and gradually reduce poverty.

Playing the role of connecting and mobilising the community to preserve the traditional cultural identity, ethnic minority artisans in the villages and hamlets around the country have been dedicated to cultural preservation, while enthusiastically leading and teaching traditional performing art values to younger generations, through training courses and mass art movements, contributing to improving the spiritual life of the community.
