Bac Giang painter wins C prize at Northwest - Viet Bac Region 3 Fine Arts Exhibition
BAC GIANG - Son La Provincial People's Committee coordinated with the Vietnam Fine Arts Association to organize the 29th Northwest - Viet Bac Region 3 Fine Arts Exhibition from November 1 to 5, 2024.
The exhibition displays 213 art works by 206 artists from the provinces of Ha Giang, Tuyen Quang, Lao Cai, Bac Giang, Thai Nguyen, Phu Tho, Yen Bai, Hoa Binh, Lai Chau, Dien Bien, Vinh Phuc, Cao Bang, Lang Son, Bac Kan and Son La, including 25 works by 23 artists from Bac Giang province.

The works use materials such as lacquer, oil painting, wood carving, ceramics, bronze hammering, aluminum hammering, acrylic, silver-plated alloy... to vividly reflect the good traditional cultural values, socio-economic achievements of the homeland and country, strongly express the culture of the Northwest and Viet Bac mountainous regions.
The Organizing Committee awarded one A prize, one B prize, one C prize and 8 Encouragement prizes.
Painter Luu The Han, a member of the Bac Giang Province Literature and Arts Association, was awarded the C prize with his oil painting "Bac Son Afternoon".
Three young painters of Bac Giang Province, Luu Van Luong with his work titled Afternoon, Hoang Nguyen Thach with his work named Homeland River and Ha Tuan with his work Highland Market Corner were selected to participate in the Award of the National Committee of the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations.
