The socio-economic situation of the province was reported to recover after the natural disaster and gain many positive results in the first 10 months. Particularly, the industrial production value was estimated at nearly 81 trillion VND (3.2 billion USD) in October and over 562 trillion VND (22 billion USD) in the 10 months, a surge of 28.1 percent compared to the same period.

The total retail sales of goods and revenues from services reached some 55 trillion VND (2.2 billion USD) in the 10 months, up 16.1 percent against the same period, equal to 86.2 percent of the plan.

The total domestic budget revenue reached over 14.2 trillion VND (557.5 million USD) in the 10 months, equivalent to 99.5 percent of the estimate, an increase of 24.9 percent compared to the same period in 2023. Of which, 12 out of 16 revenues and 3 out of 10 district-level administrative units exceeded the year’s budget plan.

To date, the industrial parks have attracted over 1.4 billion USD of investment capital and it is expected to reach 1.5 billion USD in the whole year 2024. Agricultural production has maintained stable. Socio-cultural sectors have been paid arduous attention when the people’s living has been kept stable, political security, social order and safety have been guaranteed.

Besides, the participants discussed some shortcomings in disbursement of public investment due to obstacles in land clearance compensation, progress of administrative unit arrangement, preparing goods and stablising the market on year-end occasion.

Concluding the conference, PPC’s Acting Chairman Mai Son stressed, the province needs to review and effectively implement the tasks to fulfill the targets in 2024 and work out plan for 2025.

Particularly, he urged to highly concentrate on implementing the tasks of arranging district and communal level administrative units in Bac Giang province for the period from 2023 to 2025 to stablise the apparatus organization. Besides, it is necessary to well prepare for organizing the ceremony to announce and introduce new district and communal level apparatuses and provide facilities for the new Luc Ngan district.

Besides, the Acting Chairman ordered to implement synchronous and comprehensive tasks and measures to improve the investment and business climate. He also requested to accelerate land clearance progress for the remaining area of Yen Lu, expanded Hoa Phu, Phuc Son, Chau Minh - Bac Ly - Huong Lam industrial parks.

At the conference, the participants also discussed and voted for the regulation on the list of land prices of Bac Giang province in 2022-2024 and gave opinions upon some draft documents.
