Bac Giang city focuses on arranging administrative units
BAC GIANG - The Bac Giang City Party Committee on October 21 held a conference to disseminate and deploy the plan of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee and the City People's Committee on the implementation of National Assembly Standing Committee’s Resolution No. 1191/NQ-UBTVQH15 dated September 28, 2024 about the arrangement of administrative units at the district and commune levels of Bac Giang province during 2023 – 2025 period (Resolution No. 1191).
Vu Tri Hai, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the City People's Council chaired the conference.

According to Resolution No. 1191, the entire natural area and population of Yen Dung district will be merged into Bac Giang city. After merging, Bac Giang city has an area of 258.29 square kilometers with a population of 371,151 people and 31 administrative units (21 wards, 10 communes).
Also, 6 administrative units (4 wards of the current Bac Giang city and 2 communes and towns of Yen Dung district) are arranged into 3 new administrative units; 13 wards are established in Bac Giang city.
At the conference, delegates discussed and proposed to focus on implementing tasks before, during and after the arrangement of administrative units.
Concluding the conference, the Party Chief of Bac Giang city Vu Tri Hai requested members of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, the Executive Committee of the City Party Committee, heads of city agencies and units and standing committees of the Party Committees of wards and communes to base on the plan issued by the City Party Committee and the City People's Committee to implement with a spirit of urgency and seriousness.
Because the workload is large within limited time, all stages and tasks must be implemented efficiently as schedule, he said.

For the wards of Le Loi, Tran Phu, Tran Nguyen Han and Ngo Quyen, he requested to develop a plan to implement the Resolution with the content of "3 clear" (clear work, clear people, clear time) as a basis for implementation at the grassroots level.
Particularly, the 6 ward – to – be communes, namely Song Mai, Tan Tien, Dong Son, Tan My, Song Khe and Dinh Tri, must develop a plan to change villages into residential groups; review and complete all records and documents.
Departments, offices, units and commune-level People's Committees were ordered to strengthen propaganda about the Resolution; grasp the thoughts and aspirations of the staff, civil servants and public employees so as to complete all tasks in 2024.
