Impressive check-in points on Bac Giang Newspaper Half Marathon route
BAC GIANG - Participating in and following the 2024 Bac Giang Newspaper’s Half Marathon, athletes and fans have the opportunity to explore and mark their destinations with beautiful photos on the roads of Bac Giang City (Bac Giang province).
The 41st Bac Giang Newspaper Half Marathon 2024 theme “Converging in the Sacred Land” is organized by Bac Giang Newspaper in collaboration with the provincial Youth Union, Departments of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Department of Education and Training and other units.

The tournament is scheduled from 12 to 13 October 2024 and expected to lure thousands of participants nationwide.
In addition to the collective running race, this tournament will be organized as a half marathon with the distances of 5km, 10km and 21km.
The race route is arranged through beautiful routes of Bac Giang City, showing prominent relics and tourist attractions of the city.

The opening ceremony will be held at 3/2 Square which is considered the "heart" of Bac Giang City with an area of over 11,000 square meters with many large, key projects of the province and modernly designed commercial areas such as: Provincial Convention Center, Inter-agency headquarters, Muong Thanh Hotel, Hapro Bac Giang General Service and Trade Center. Athletes will start the race at the Square area.
Athletes will run through Hung Vuong Street - one of the most beautiful streets in the city. Here, there is Hoang Hoa Tham Park built on an area of over 10,000 square meters with many items such as artificial hills, walking paths, pavilions, domes and entertainment areas for the elderly and children...

The lake is vast, the fountain is designed with high artistry, trees and grass carpets create a cool and fresh space. In particular, the central area has a 13.84 m high statue of the hero Hoang Hoa Tham, made of granite. The relief is 38 m long, 7.2 m high, made of green stone with embossed letters about his life and career.
Hung Vuong Street is also famous for Dai Hoang Son Wedding and Event Center with luxurious and elegant European architecture and spacious space. The villas and flower and ornamental plant systems are meticulously cared for with fountains that are even more sparkling at night. All combined with the campus landscape and the City Clock Tower create an ideal "check-in" spot.

Among the locations on the racetrack, the most prominent is the Special National Monument of the Xuong Giang Victory Site in Xuong Giang Ward which was ranked as a National Historical Monument by the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism in 2009 and Special National Monument by the Prime Minister in 2019.
This place is associated with the name and career of General Le Loi and military advisor Nguyen Trai along with the generals who directly commanded the battle of Xuong Giang. The special national monument of the Xuong Giang Victory Site is a symbol of the strength, spirit and determination to win of the Vietnamese people.

On the journey to conquer the peak, athletes will pass through Nguyen Van Cu and Ngo Gia Tu streets. Once considered ancient neighborhoods, they have now "put on a new coat" with hotels, luxury apartments, supermarkets such as Co.op Mart, Vincom Plaza on both sides of the street.
The modern design will also help visitors take beautiful photos. There is also the cool Ngo Gia Tu park next to the poetic February 3 lake.

In addition to historical relics and architecture, the journey also includes outstanding and modern traffic works of the province such as: Bac Giang Railway Station, My Do Bridge, walking street...
In which, A Lu Bridge was inaugurated nearly a year ago with rhythmic and graceful steel arches spanning the Thuong River. This is the most beautiful bridge in Bac Giang City to date. The bridge is designed with reinforced concrete, 426 m long, decorated with slanted steel arches from 7-14 m high.
