The 41st Bac Giang Newspaper Half Marathon 2024 themed “Convergence in the Sacred Land” is held by Bac Giang Newspaper in collaboration with the provincial Departments of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Education and Training, Health, Youth Union, Public Security Department and the people’s committee of Bac Giang city.

To date, the tournament has attracted over 3,000 participants including 1,700 runners in collective races and 1,400 runners in marathon event at the distances of 5km, 10km and 21km.

In order to complete the tournament contents and facilitate forces, vehicles and athletes, the participants recommended adjusting opening time from 7.30 am on October 13 to the afternoon of October 12.

Concluding the meeting, Trinh Van Anh highly appreciated the active collaboration of the agencies and units. As the tournament will begin in just few days with thousands of participants, he expected related agencies, units and people’s committee of Bac Giang city to pay attention to and support for careful preparation to have a successful tournament.

He requested the specialized sub-committees to continue reviewing the assigned tasks and highly concentrate on implementing the remaining items.

The related units should build specific plans with a special attention to ensuring security, order, traffic safety and health while arranging aid stations for runners on the race tracks.
