Mai An Tiem Awards presented to 100 outstanding cooperative products
The Vietnam Cooperative Alliance held a ceremony on the evening of December 11 to present the first Mai An Tiem Awards (Coop Gold Product Awards 2024) for exemplary cooperative products at the Army Theatre in Hanoi and launched the Action Month for Cooperatives and the International Year of Cooperatives 2025.
The Mai An Tiem Awards celebrate and honour high-quality and competitive products from reputable cooperatives and cooperative unions which are playing a significant role in developing the collective economy in Vietnam.

These awards aim to enhance productivity and quality within the cooperative sector, promoting unique cultural identities and traditional values while meeting market demands.
They also standardise product branding and establish consistent evaluation criteria for cooperative products.
The awards have garnered enthusiastic participation from cooperatives nationwide, recognising stable and sustainable business practices.
A total of 100 exemplary products were selected from the hundreds of submissions across various sectors, including agriculture, handicrafts, and food and beverages. Many of the products meet OCOP standards or have received other prestigious recognitions.
Of the awarded products, 75 relate to food and beverages, 10 to herbal medicines, 13 to handicrafts, and two to tourism.
In her remarks, Deputy Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Thanh emphasised the importance of the cooperative economy and urged for stronger organisational reforms and community engagement to ensure cooperatives play a central role in economic development.
The ceremony also kicked off the Action Month for Cooperatives and the International Year of Cooperatives in 2025.
BAC GIANG - Young workers in cooperatives serves as a "fresh breeze" that boosts production and business activities. However, this workforce currently represents a low percentage. Finding ways to attract high-quality young workers to the collective economy has become a pressing issue for various sectors.
The northern province of Bac Giang is setting the stage for a significant transformation in its agriculture sector, aiming to have around 60 cooperatives utilising high-tech solutions in production by the end of 2024.

The delegation was accompanied by Thuy Duong Clean Agriculture Cooperative (Yen Dung); Tan Yen Ginseng Cooperative; Choi Village Rice Wine Cooperative (Luc Nam); Duca High-Tech Services Cooperative (Viet Yen town).
