National Tourism Year – Hue 2025 to offer visitors abundant activities
The National Tourism Year – Hue 2025 will feature a wide range of activities promoting the values and potential of tourism in Vietnam in general and Thua Thien - Hue in particular.
The remark was made by Chairman of the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism Nguyen Trung Khanh at a press conference held by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the provincial People’s Committee on December 31.

Themed ‘Hue- Ancient Capital – New Opportunity’, the programme will include over 170 national and provincial events, arranging in four main groups of activities for spring, summer, autumn, and winter.
Prominent among them are the opening ceremony; a fireworks display to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the liberation of Thua Thien - Hue on March 25; an international conference on cultural industries as a foundation for sustainable tourism; a programme to introduce Vietnamese tourism, cuisine, and craft villages to businesses in the European market in June; and the closing ceremony.
Other notable events include an event to promote the Visit Vietnam Year - Hue 2025 programme at the international exhibition EXPO 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan from April 25 to May 6, 2025; an international culinary festival; and an international conference on Net Zero tourism.
The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Department of Transport of the northern province of Thai Nguyen and Vietnam Railway Corporation on December 28 launched the trial run of a Hanoi-Thai Nguyen tourism train.
In the post-pandemic economic recovery period, Tuyen Quang has recorded remarkable achievements in tourism, trade, and services. In particular, tourism stimulus programmes along with the development of many new service products have created an important revenue source for the province, while strengthening Tuyen Quang’s position on the national tourism map and affirming its attractiveness and development potential.
A short video promoting Vetnam’s tourism has been officially released on the US Cable News Network (CNN), the Tourism Information Technology Centre under the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism announced on December 27.

BAC GIANG - The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism in Bac Giang province launched a survey programme from December 21 to 23 to introduce tourist areas, destinations, craft villages and fruit growing areas in 2024. The survey team included more than 60 delegates representing travel agencies and businesses, tiktoker groups in Hanoi and Bac Giang.
