Progress of expanded Viet Han Industrial Park infrastructure construction project accelerated

Updated: 10:00, 27/08/2024

BAC GIANG - Identifying industry as a pillar and a main driving force for growth, Bac Giang province has always focused on attracting investment in industrial park infrastructure, and creating land for industrial development, including the project to build infrastructure of the expanded Viet Han Industrial Park in Viet Yen township.

Currently, relevant authorities and localities are working together to remove obstacles in each case to soon put the project into operation, thus attracting secondary investors, creating jobs, and increasing income for local residents.

The investor's staff explains regulations and policies on land recovery to Duc Lien residential area residents.

The 150-ha project was approved by the Prime Minister on February 26, 2024, with Fuji Phuc Long Development Company Limited as the investor. It is implemented in Hong Thai, Tang Tien, and Nenh wards of Viet Yen township with a total investment of more than 1.2 trillion VND (48.25 million USD).

The township has paid special attention to site clearance as it is a difficult step and a prerequisite for deciding the project implementation. The investor has regularly coordinated with the locality in disseminating plans, answering locals’ questions, and giving explanations.

Hong Thai has about 120 hectares to be recovered, the largest among the wards, affecting hundreds of households. Determining that this is an important project, bringing many common benefits to local socio-economic development and improving the lives of locals, the ward has organised a dialogue with residents to provide them with information about the project.

According to Nguyen Chi Tuyen, Vice Chairman of the ward People's Committee, the investment in building industrial park infrastructure has been basically agreed upon by the people, because they see future benefits when there are factories and workshops near the locality as proven in Nenh and Tang Tien wards. Therefore, most households expect the project to be implemented soon.

In Tang Tien ward and the area bordering Nenh and Hong Thai wards, the recovered area is about 20 hectares, affecting 453 households and individuals residing in Phuc Long and Thuong Phuc residential areas and three organizations (the People's Committees of Tang Tien, Hong Thai and Nenh wards). Of which, 400 households have had their assets counted and 31 billion VND has been paid in advance for 15.5 hectares.

In Nenh ward, relevant units are preparing maps and data to submit the township People's Committee for issuing a notice of land recovery on a total area of 1.4 hectares. Although the project basically reached locals’ consensus, some households have still had concerns. Their questions have been responded by representatives of the investor and competent agencies.

To speed up site clearance for the project, in the coming time, Viet Yen township will continue to direct the strengthening of dissemination work and encourage households to declare and count assets on the land areas to be recovered in Tang Tien ward and Duc Lien, Hung Lam and Nhu Thiet residential groups of Hong Thai ward; complete the dossiers to submit authorities to issue the land recovery notice in Nenh ward. The township will immediately implement the project when the land price frame is issued by the province to conduct site clearance compensation based on the new Land Law, ensuring the rights of people whose land is recovered.
