Bac Giang focuses on environmental protection in industrial parks and clusters
BAC GIANG - To promote economic development, besides implementing many preferential policies to attract investment, Bac Giang province has recently paid due attention to protecting the environment of industrial parks and clusters, creating favorable conditions for businesses to invest in the area.
To build a green environment in industrial parks and clusters, the province requires departments, sectors, localities and infrastructure investors to accelerate the construction of centralized wastewater treatment systems; establish environmental procedures for industrial clusters that do not have corresponding environmental procedures and fully implement environmental protection requirements according to decisions among others.

In 2023, the Provincial People's Committee issued a plan to prevent and respond to environmental incidents in industrial parks and clusters. Currently, all industrial parks in the area have built centralized wastewater treatment systems (this rate in industrial clusters is more than 60%).
The environmental monitoring and warning system have also been invested and built. To date, dozens of businesses in the province's industrial parks and clusters have installed automatic monitoring stations and transmitted data to the Department of Natural Resources and Environment.

In addition, inspection and supervision of compliance with environmental laws are focused.
According to statistics from the Division of Environmental Protection (Department of Natural Resources and Environment), for 7 months of this year, the unit has advised the province and the Department to handle 13 violated cases with a total fines of over 6 billion VND.
