The “For the Cause of Great National Unity" Press Award has received positive response from press agencies and journalists nationwide after nearly 20 years.

The group of authors Minh Ngoc and Cong Doanh (Bac Giang Newspaper) wins C prize for the series of 3 articles titled “Giot mau Bac Giang- tinh dan toc, nghia dong bao” (Bac Giang’s blood – the nationalism and compatriotism).

Continuing the success of the previous 15 events, VFF’s Standing Committee collaborated with the Vietnam Journalists Association to launch the 16th "For the Cause of Great National Unity" Press Award in 2023-2024.

After 2 years of implementation, the Organizing Board had received 2,135 valid entries as of July 31, 2024 in five categories of printed and e-newspapers, radio, television, and press photos by 100 central and local press agencies.

The jury selected 90 entries to award 5 A prizes, 14 B prizes, 29 C prizes and 42 consolation prizes. These are impressive and outstanding works thanks to valuable findings and ideas that convey constructive messages to the society and community, contributing to encouraging and promoting solidarity and creativity among the people for the common goal of building and firmly consolidating the great national unity bloc.

The group of authors from Bac Giang Voice and Television wins B prize and those from Bac Giang Newspaper wins C prize.

Among the 90 selected entries, Bac Giang province has 2 works won prizes. Particularly, the work titled “Nhung ngoi nha tu suc dan” (The houses built by people’s joint efforts) in television reportage category (3 series) by the group of authors Thu Thuy - Quang Vinh - Trong Quan from Bac Giang Voice and Television won B prize and “Giot mau Bac Giang- tinh dan toc, nghia dong bao” (Bac Giang’s blood - the nationalism and compatriotism) with 3 articles in the reflection category by the group of authors Minh Ngoc and Cong Doanh from Bac Giang Newspaper won C prize.

The National Press Awards Council announced on June 2 that they voted to select nine A, 24 B and 46 C prizes, and a number of consolation prizes to be awarded during a ceremony on June 21, which is concurrent with the 98th anniversary of the Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day.

Bac Giang Newspaper wins Prize C and consolation prize at Seventh National Press Awards on Party Building

The 7th National Press Awards on Party Building, the Bua Liem Vang (Golden Hammer and Sickle) Awards 2022, were presented at a ceremony held in Hanoi on February 3. Two prized articles from Bac Giang Newspaper were “Bac Giang industry – Journey from Zero” (5 issues) written by group of journalists Hai Anh – The Phuong – Trinh Lan (Prize C) and “A faithful belief” (5 issues) by group of journalists Thu Huong – Huu Trinh (consolation prize).
