Nguyen Thi Oanh wins 3 Gold Medals at National Athletics Championship
BAC GIANG - Winning the 3,000m steeplechase event with a time of 10 minutes 6 seconds 84, Bac Giang star runner Nguyen Thi Oanh won her third Gold Medal at the 2024 National Athletics Championship.
In the final on the morning of November 13, athlete Nguyen Thi Oanh, born in 1995, quickly took the lead after the starting signal and gradually widened the gap with the group behind. After half the race, Oanh caught the last group and finished without any competition.

Previously, Nguyen Thi Oanh won the gold medals in the 1,500m and 5,000m. She fulfilled the target of the Bac Giang team in this tournament, helping the team enter the top 5.
Oanh shared: "Each tournament has its own difficulties. Although I have won these categories at the SEA Games, I am always aware of my responsibility for my hometown at the national tournament. I try to overcome myself. That's why I'm not satisfied with today's results. I set a goal of running under 10 minutes but I couldn't do it."
The 2024 National Athletics Championship took place at Dong Nai Stadium. After the fourth day of competition (November 12), six national records were broken in five events.
