Bac Giang adjusts investment and construction progress in many industrial clusters

Updated: 20:13, 09/08/2024

BAC GIANG - The Bac Giang Provincial People's Committee has just issued decisions to adjust the implementation progress of a number of investment projects to build technical infrastructure of industrial clusters in the area.

They include Thanh Son industrial cluster (Son Dong); Phuong Son industrial cluster (Luc Ngan); Phuong Son - Dai Lam industrial cluster (Luc Nam and Lang Giang districts); Dai Lam industrial cluster (southern area), Dai Lam 2 industrial cluster (same Lang Giang district); Dong Dinh industrial cluster (Tan Yen). The investors of these industrial clusters are all businesses.

The perspective of Dai Lam industrial cluster.

Currently, the Department of Industry and Trade is verifying dossiers requesting to adjust the implementation progress of project to build technical infrastructure and supplement professions at Dinh Tri industrial cluster, Tan My industrial cluster (Bac Giang City) and My An industrial cluster (Luc Ngan).

The above mentioned industrial clusters are behind schedule from one to nine years, causing waste of land resources.

According to the Department of Industry and Trade, in addition to Dong Dinh industrial cluster, Dinh Tri industrial cluster, and Tan My industrial cluster, the progress of technical infrastructure construction is slow due to difficulties in site clearance, new industrial clusters established in 2022 (Thanh Son, Phuong Son, Phuong Son - Dai Lam...) are basically behind schedule due to problems with district planning, commune-level general planning and traffic connections.

Besides, investors of some industrial clusters such as Tan My, Tien Hung (Luc Nam), Trung Son - Ninh Son (Viet Yen town), Phuong Son, My An (Luc Ngan) have not actively coordinated with relevant authorities and units to implement the project.

The whole province currently has 55 industrial clusters. To speed up investment in infrastructure construction of industrial clusters and attract secondary investors, the Provincial People's Committee directed the Departments of Industry and Trade, Construction, Planning and Investment, Natural Resources and Environment, and Transport - Transportation and People's Committees of districts, township and city, based on their functions and tasks, to support investors in site clearance, land record revision and carry out traffic connection procedures according to regulations..., thereby, ensuring the time to apply for extension of implementation progress in 2026 according to the issued decisions.
