Luc Ngan district Farmers’ Association was one of the localities with earliest registration to upgrade five products to 4 star from three-star title, including yellow flesh orange, sweet orange, Kien Thanh wine, Phi Dien jujube and Nam The Chu rice noodle.

In 2022, Luc Ngan strives to upgrade Chu rice noodle of Nam The Chu Rice Noodle Production and Consumption Cooperative in Nam Duong commune to four star from three star title.

According to the provincial Farmers’ Association, previously, all levels of Farmers’ Association only cooperated with sectors and localities. Since 2022, the provincial Party Committee assigned the Farmers’ Association to be direct subject to “sponsor” the cooperatives to create farm produce brand.

Also, the Farmers’ Association must be the core in agriculture production toward cooperation, linkage under value chain while creating and enhancing OCOP products to increase the value of local farm produce.

As of March 1, 1,656 Vietnamese firms had received codes granted by China, enabling them to export farm produce and food products to the Chinese market.
