Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor supports Bac Giang province to overcome the consequences of storm No. 3.
BAC GIANG - On the morning of September 15, Huynh Thanh Xuan, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL) visited, encouraged and presented funds to support union members and workers in Bac Giang province who suffered losses due to storm No. 3.
Huynh Thanh Xuan and delegates visited and handed over amount to support two families of union members of Bac Giang province. They are Nguyen Thao Phuong (born in 2001), a worker at BGG Yen The Garment Joint Stock Company.

She lives in Dong Thep village of Tam Hiep commune (Yen The), whose daughter (born in 2021) died after being swept away by floodwaters.
Another one is Nguyen Manh Hung (born in 1979), a clerical staff at Dinh Tri Secondary School (Bac Giang city). He lives in Nam Tien village of Xuong Lam commune (Lang Giang), whose house was severely damaged after storm No. 3.
The delegation presented 5 million VND to Phuong's family and 3 million VND to Hung’s family.
Huynh Thanh Xuan visited and shared the losses and damages of the union members' families caused by super Typhoon Yagi. He encouraged them to quickly overcome the sorrow and difficulties to continue working and stabilize their lives soon.

He also requested the trade unions at all levels of Bac Giang province to promptly grasp the living conditions of union members and workers then review cases affected by storm No. 3 to have appropriate forms of support.
On this occasion, he presented 500 million VND from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor's fund to support union members and workers in Bac Giang province affected by storm No. 3 and floods.
BAC GIANG- Typhoon Yagi has triggered widespread floods, isolated many localities, caused loss of life and assets in northern province of Bac Giang. Many organizations, units and individuals have joined hands with the entire political system to implement a number of voluntary activities towards the flood-hit areas to share difficulties with local people.
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Pham Thanh Binh hosted a reception in Hanoi on September 11 for Japanese Ambassador to Vietnam Ito Naoki, who delivered a message of sympathy from Japanese Prime Minister Kishida Fumio to his Vietnamese counterpart Pham Minh Chinh regarding the recent impact of Typhoon Yagi.
BAC GIANG – As of 5:00 p.m on September 11, the Bac Giang Provincial Fatherland Front Committee received more than 800 million VND (34,500 USD) together with a lot of food, groceries and essential items from 6 groups and 95 kind-hearted individuals inside and outside the province to support people affected by storm No. 3 in Bac Giang province.
