Hanoi to set off fireworks at five locations for New Year’s Eve and 30 locations for Lunar New Year 2025
Hanoi will host firework displays at five locations to celebrate the transition from 2024 to 2025 (New Year’s Eve), and the city plans to organise firework shows at 30 locations for the Lunar New Year 2025.
To welcome the New Year 2025, the city will hold music festivals on the evening of December 31 at Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square and Cach Mang Thang Tam Square.

Fireworks will be launched at five locations (six sites in total) across Hoan Kiem, Ha Dong, Nam Tu Liem, Son Tay and Dong Anh. The displays will take place from 00:00 to 00:15 am on January 1, 2025.
For the Lunar New Year, fireworks will be set off at 30 locations (31 sites in total). These include nine high-altitude displays combined with low-altitude displays and 21 low-altitude displays across 30 districts and towns.
The shows are scheduled from midnight to 00:15 AM on January 29, 2025 (the first day of the Lunar New Year).
Additionally, the city plans to host various cultural and artistic events, such as the “Light Symphony - Welcome 2025” concert in Tay Ho District (scheduled for 8 PM on January 18, 2025).
Another event, “Radiant Thang Long 2025”, will take place at the outdoor stage in front of My Dinh National Stadium and the F1 race track area from 9 to 11:59 PM on January 28, 2025.
