Bac Giang focuses on performing tasks right from beginning of the year, well prepares for Lunar New Year
BAC GIANG - On the afternoon of December 20, the People's Committee of Bac Giang province held a regular December conference under the chair of Mai Son, Acting Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee (PPC).
The PPC report show that in December, the socio-economic situation of the province has much improved. The industry continues to grow, especially the processing and manufacturing fields.

The industrial production value (current price) is estimated at 74 trillion VND (over 3 billion USD) in December and more than 684 trillion VND in 12 months, exceeding the annual plan by 3%.
Total domestic budget revenue in 2024 reaches over 17.4 trillion VND, exceeding the assigned estimate by 21.6%. Agricultural production is stable, ensuring progress; health care, education, culture and information receive due attention while the political security is ensured.
Concluding the conference, PPC Acting Chairman Mai Son requested all levels and sectors to focus on developing programmes and plans to implement resolutions of the Government, Provincial Party Committee and Provincial People's Council on 2025 tasks right from the beginning of the year.
He emphasized that agencies and units subjected to reorganization in accordance with Resolution No. 1191/NQ-UBTVQH15 of the National Assembly Standing Committee need to stabilize the new organizational apparatus to prepare for organizing party congresses at all levels at the grassroots level.
At the same time, all levels and sectors must resolutely and urgently reorganize and streamline the apparatus at all levels, improve operational effectiveness and efficiency, and ensure progress in accordance with the spirit of Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW of the 12th Party Central Committee.
Amid labour shortage at year end season, the provincial leader urged the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs to coordinate with localities to promote and support businesses in recruiting workers.

The Department of Industry and Trade was ordered to further monitor the market situation, ensuring stable prices of essential goods for production and life, especially during holidays, Tet and early 2025; proactively forecast early the supply and demand of goods, especially essential goods, to have plans to ensure balance of supply and demand and stabilize the market.
The Tax sector, sectors and localities must focus on collecting budget revenue from the beginning of the year; complete the disbursement of public investment capital by January 31, 2025 at the highest rate; well conduct site clearance and speed up the construction progress of projects.
Relevant sectors were requested to pay due attention to taking care of people's health and ensuring social security, food safety and hygiene before, during and after Tet holiday together with well preparing conditions to serve people to celebrate Tet holiday in a healthy, safe and economical manner.
