Bac Giang strengthens cooperation in training medical human resources with Osaka Metropolitan University (Japan)
BAC GIANG - On December 16, a delegation from Osaka Metropolitan University (Japan) led by Principal Professor Norifumi Kawada visited and worked with Bac Giang province. The delegation was accompanied by Associate Professor Daiju Ueda, the university's expert in applying artificial intelligence in medical diagnosis.
The delegates were received by Mai Son, Acting Chairman of the Bac Giang Provincial People's Committee (PPC), representatives of the Department of Health and the PPC Office.

Speaking at the event, PPC Acting Chairman Mai Son expressed his delight at welcoming Professor Norifumi Kawada and members of the delegation.
Informing about the results of cooperation between Bac Giang province and the university, the provincial leader said that in February this year the PPC organized a delegation to Osaka Metropolitan University to work and sign a memorandum of cooperation with the university.
Based on the discussion and agreement on the implementation plan of the specific cooperation program between the two sides, up to now, the province has sent 5 medical staff from Anh Quat General Hospital to Osaka Metropolitan University for training (ultrasound to detect early liver cancer and diseases of the liver, gallbladder, pancreas; nursing to perform hemodialysis techniques).

Anh Quat General Hospital also organized a delegation to visit and study the hemodialysis model in Japan.
The Acting Chairman emphasized that Bac Giang province always pays attention and gives top priority to the health sector, including the development of non-public health.
He hoped that the cooperation plan per the memorandum signed between the two sides will continue to be effectively implemented.
Bac Giang province expected to receive attention and support, especially in training human resources in the field of early-stage cancer diagnosis and treatment from Osaka Metropolitan University while increase the organization of medical conferences and seminars (remotely) to transfer and skillfully apply new techniques in disease diagnosis and treatment for the medical staff of Bac Giang province.

Based on the model of visiting, studying, training and purchasing artificial kidney machines from Japanese partners, Bac Giang province also planned to deploy an artificial kidney unit at Anh Quat General Hospital so as to create convenience for people in accessing modern medical services.
Professor Norifumi Kawada thanked the leaders of Bac Giang province for their warm welcome. He hoped to deepen the relationship between the two sides, especially in the field of health and further improve social welfare for the people.
Osaka Metropolitan University will create the best conditions for training and transferring new techniques to medical personnel, especially young doctors in the province.
