Implementing the Cooperation Agreement between Bac Giang province and Xaysomboun province, Bac Giang Department of Health dispatches 3 officials including: Bachelor Nguyen Van Quyet, expert in nursing; Bachelor Nguyen The Quang, expert in infection control; Master Nguyen Duc Tuyen, expert in medical equipment to Xaysomboun Provincial Hospital to work from September 24, 2024 to the end of December 2024.

According to the program, these medical experts from Bac Giang province will support medical staff at Xaysomboun Provincial Hospital in 3 areas.

The first is nursing management, including: Instructions to receive and deliver first aid, emergency cardiac arrest, emergency treatment of anaphylaxis for patients; training in sample collection, preservation and transportation of test specimens, safe and effective use of drugs, patient care techniques, wound care, ulcers and pressure ulcer prevention; instructions on managing and using consumable medical supplies as well as group/team work skills.

The second is infection control training instructions, including: How to disinfect and sterilize instruments in medical examination and treatment facilities; preventive isolation, preservation of medical equipment and instruments after processing to ensure sterility; hand hygiene practices; management and treatment of medical textiles, medical waste, hospital environmental sanitation; management of chemicals and supplies used in infection control.

The third is training in management and operation of medical equipment, including: Instructions on management, repair and maintenance of medical equipment; operation and maintenance of diagnostic imaging equipment and testing equipment; treatment equipment and sterilization equipment.

Previously, Bac Giang province supported 21 sets of minor surgery for some hospitals in Xaysomboun province. Bac Giang Department of Health also received 3 medical staff from Xaysomboun province for training to improve their professional qualifications in medical examination and treatment in the fields of: General Internal Medicine, Anesthesia - Resuscitation and General Pediatrics.

In the coming time, the Bac Giang Department of Health is expected to organize training and technology transfer for 5 medical staff of Xaysomboun province in the following fields of surgery; nursing of operating room instruments; gastrointestinal endoscopy; management of drugs, supplies, and medical equipment and midwifery.
