Delegation from Xaysomboun Province (Laos) visits Son Dong district and Luc Ngan fruit growing area

BAC GIANG - Continuing the working trip in Bac Giang province, the delegation of Xaysomboun province (Laos) on December 17 visited Tay Yen Tu spiritual and ecotourism complex (Son Dong district) and Luc Ngan fruit growing area.

The delegation was led by Dengpa Thum Thong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Zone 18, Chairman of the Xaysomboun Provincial People's Council.

The working delegation visits the Tay Yen Tu spiritual and ecotourism complex in Son Dong district.

In Son Dong district, Le Duc Thang, Standing Vice Chairman of the District People's Committee welcomed the delegation and briefed the guest on local socio-economic situation in 2024 together with development goals in 2025.

The delegation was introduced about the history, culture, unique customs and practices of the locality, especially the tourism potential of Tay Yen Tu spiritual and ecotourism complex.

The Tay Yen Tu spiritual and ecotourism complex was located in Tay Yen Tu town. The construction was started in 2014 and the first phase was put in operation in 2019, attracting many tourists to visit, especially during the Spring Festival. This relic site is still being restored and constructed.

On this occasion, Le Duc Thang presented the Xaysomboun Provincial Delegation with the book "A Brief History of Vietnam in Pictures" which introduces the Truc Lam Yen Tu Zen sect and local products.

At the same day, the delegation visited the fruit growing area of ​​Luc Ngan district where they enjoyed and tasted oranges and grapefruits in the gardens of some families.

In particular, visiting the orange and green-skinned grapefruit farm on an area of ​​10 hectares (the largest in Luc Ngan district) of Nguyen Van Huu's family in Xe Cu village, Thanh Hai commune, the delegation was introduced to the advanced production techniques in the direction of modernity, organicity and safety by using completely organic fertilizers and biological products to care for the plants.

Taking advantage of having a beautiful fruit garden and convenient transportation, Huu's family's orange and grapefruit garden is always listed as attractive tourist destinations in Luc Ngan district.

In 2023, this farm was recognized by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Bac Giang province as a Hoa Qua Son eco-tourism destination, organized according to the model of eco-tourism experiencing agriculture and rural areas.

His family often cooperates with other gardeners in the area to organize tours for visitors to visit and experience, especially during the lychee and grapefruit flower and fruit harvest seasons.
