Viet Nam tops 2025 Asian Muay Thai Championships
Viet Nam claimed first place overall at the 2025 Asian Muay Thai Championships, which concluded on June 25 at the Thai Nguyen provincial Sports Arena.
The event, held from June 20 to 25, brought together over 300 athletes, coaches and referees from 19 countries and territories. Viet Nam’s 50-athlete delegation delivered an impressive performance, securing 46 medals: 14 golds, 16 silvers and 16 bronzes.

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) finished second with 16 medals (eight golds), followed by Kazakhstan with 20 medals (seven golds), and Thailand in fourth place.
The tournament featured competition across 28 combat weight classes and 8 technical performance events, totalling 50 sets of medals.
The successful organisation of the championship highlighted Thai Nguyen’s capacity to host large-scale international sporting events and helped promote the province as a friendly and welcoming destination.
